A man who was due to star in a music video ended up being arrested and fined for the carrying of fake guns.
He was spotted in September around the Balexert shopping centre in Geneva. He told police that he didn’t believe he was doing anything wrong.
In fact, federal firearms laws are clear that any fake weapon which closely resembles the real thing is to be treated as if it were a real weapon.
He was fined CHF 500 with a suspended fine of CHF 1,200.
The police recommend if you want to make a film using fake firearms to make sure you tell them first.
