A Zurich man will have to hand over all the guns he owns after he was caught shooting pigeons with a rifle fitted with a silencer in a shopping district.
That was back in 2021 – and he’s been fighting the decision to confiscate his weapons ever since.
The Federal Court has now backed all previous decisions.
He was also found to have unlicensed weapons and had forged documents.
Federal judges said the man had shown he could not handle guns responsibly.
The weapons will be sold and the proceeds used to pay some of his court costs – he will also have to pay an extra CHF 2,000.
