A Geneva man has been given a 7-month suspended prison sentence for taking his Smith and Wesson revolver out one night and deciding to take pot shots at road signs in Carouge.
He admitted he was also drunk at the time.
He told the court there was no chance he would have injured anyone. He says he fired into the woods at night and if there had been anyone, they would have had a flashlight so he would have seen them.
The judge disagreed.
She sentenced the man in his late forties to seven months in jail – suspended for four years.
