Firefighters in Graubünden are battling a major forest fire in Val Poschiavo that has been burning since Tuesday.
The blaze is threatening homes, infrastructure and the area around the iconic Brusio viaduct.
Authorities say the fire may have started from a controlled burn that spread. A large-scale response is underway, with helicopters, firefighters and police deployed.
Power lines have been damaged, and some areas are now relying on generators.
A full ban on open fires is in place, and airspace has been closed to support firefighting efforts.
