Star Wars Day was Saturday – May 4th (be with you) and fans marked the day with a Light Sabre Open.
It was set up by fencing master – and Star Wars fan – Jan Fantys. He started the Sabre Force Academy ten years ago and now has 50 students.
The competition this weekend at the Bout-du-Monde sports centre allowed participants to dress up as their favourite character.
Scoring is similar to fencing – hitting a limb is one point, the body 2 and head 3.
