A hotel in Lausanne was evacuated last night on fears the water heater was on the brink of exploding.
At around 11pm last night fire fighters demanded 80 guests leave Hotel Moxy in the Flon district – they were taken to the local fire station.
Firefighters say an alarm on the heater had been triggered and steam was escaping as it was over pressurized.
Specialists manged to shut the heater down and guests were able to return three hours later.
