A large deer had to be rescued by firefighters after it fell into a canal in canton Graubünden.
The animal was found by walkers in Landquart who called for help.
Rescuers tied ropes to its antlers and used a crane to haul out the 200-kilo animal.
It’s unsure how it ended up in the canal. One game warden believed it may have been startled by a dog and bolted. It’s thought it may have been in the water for three hours.
Once on dry land it simply sat to regain its strength. It later moved back into the woods.
