Lake road work soon ends

Commuters using the lake road around Versoix will soon have cause to celebrate as three years of renovation work is due to come to an end.

Workers have re-laid water and power lines and resurfaced much of the road.

But there is one last thing to do – and it will mean one last piece of inconvenience.

A one-way system around Versoix will be put in as workers lay down a sound absorbent road surface from today.

The work is expected to last 2 weeks – but after that, the workers will leave and the road will reopen fully.
