Swiss inflation rose less than expected in November, raising hopes of an interest rate cut by the Swiss National Bank next week.
Swiss inflation stood at 0.7% in November from 0.6% the previous month, according to figures from the Federal Statistics Office - analysts had predicted 0.8%.
But some prices last month showed a small fall of 0.1%. But the declines were unbalanced. Hotel and vacation prices were down, as was fresh food and new cars.
But rents and airfares were up.
