Hockey and football fans fight in Geneva

There was some bemusement from the crowd who were leaving the Servette ice hockey game on Saturday evening when fights broke out between the ultra-Servette ice hockey fans and the ultra-fans from Servette football club.

Police were forced to use pepper spray to try to regain order – while more orderly fans watched on with children in some bewilderment.

It’s not the first time there’s been conflict between the two groups – there was some violence towards the end of the summer.

Police say they are investigating – there were no arrests made on the night.
