Govt supported health website takes down dubious treatments

A health website that’s supported by the federal government has been forced to take down a series of suggested cures for long Covid as they’re unproven.

Research by the newspaper Tages-Anzeiger revealed some treatments included the ‘removal of vaccine toxins with homeopathy’ and bioresonance and ‘singing bowls’.

The site, Altea, is designed to bring together long Covid sufferers and gets a grant from the Federal Health Office and has respected doctors on the oversight board.

When confronted by the newspaper’s findings, a spokesman for the site tried to defend the treatments - but only a few hours later, the more questionable ideas had disappeared.
