As the potential cities vie for the right to host next years Eurovision Song Contest, the federal government have made it very clear – there will be no government money.
The Federal Culture Office told the press that financial support for the contest next year is not under discussion.
The financing will be down mainly to the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation and the host city and canton.
There will be some other sources of income, such as sponsorship and ticket sales.
