Geneva public workers have voted to strike on October 12th – demanding an above inflationary pay rise to also take into account higher health insurance policies.
The date matches the day public transport workers say they’ll strike.
Public sector workers say the offer they’ve had of a 1.3% rise is insufficient considering inflation is running at more than 3%.
Unions say they want at least a 5% rise.
They’re also demanding a further 488 new positions are maintained.
