The Geneva Grand Council has been listening to the complains about the amount of road works in the canton.
On Friday the chamber discussed the issue and is calling on the government to suspend issuing permits for works until better traffic management can be found.
They’re also calling on the utility company, the SIG to study ways the work durations can be shortened.
The minister in charge, Pierre Maudet, says he’s willing to discuss the options available.
Other commentators point out working overnight is not really an option in Geneva as it’s too densely populated and residents complain of the noise.
