The Swiss franc is continuing to weaken on the foreign exchange markets.
That's good news for Swiss exporters and shows investors are beginning to have confidence the worst effects of the pandemic will soon be behind us.
The franc is down against all major currencies, especially the euro and the dollar. It’s now at levels not seen since the summer of 2019.
The main reason is the currency is losing its appeal as a safe haven. Cash is now moving to riskier investments on hopes economies will start to reopen in the next few weeks.
