Firefighters in canton Ticino have been tackling a forest fire just north of Lugano.
The blaze threatened a nearby home and one local was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
Helicopters dropped water on the blaze in an effort to keep it under control. There’s a level 2 alert in place at the moment – but that’s likely to change today as rain and snow is forecast.
