Five horses were killed on Saturday evening after they were hit by a train in canton Graubünden.
The Rhaetian Railway train was heading to Madulain when it turned a corner and hit the animals.
They had escaped from a nearby stables.
The Graubünden cantonal police say they were all killed on the spot.
An investigation is underway.
