Fake poster may have Russia links

The fake poster

The fake poster which claimed you could be paid CHF 200 if you reported a neighbour who has their heating too high over the winter is now being investigated by the Federal Police Office on suspicions there could be a Russian propaganda link.

An image of the poster has been shared by Russian run Telegram channels and has featured on Russian and Belorussian TV news – not mentioning it was fake.

Swiss authorities are also investigating the incorrect use of the official Confederation logo.

The poster has been shared widely on social media around the world.
