The Federal Department of Justice and Police, which is overseeing the programme says it’s up to the cantons to provide accommodation and says it thanks the private hosts for their commitment.
Authorities in canton Zurich point out the special ‘S’ permit which has been given to Ukrainians runs out in March next year – so they would like clarity on how things will proceed by the end of this year.
