Electronic autoroute vignettes have been on sale for a week and sales are going well, according to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security.
But there have been hiccups. Some have visited the site in the belief they can buy the stickers for 2024 already. You can’t, they will go on sale in December.
Some international sites are now live, saying you can buy the vignette from them – but they do charge more.
One site based in the Netherlands is charging EUR 50. That’s around eight francs more than the official rate.
The advice is always use the e-vignette.ch site
Owners of the Dutch site told the Blick newspaper they charge more as they have customer support in English.
But the Swiss government site is also available in English.
