Covid tests no longer free for the vaccinated

The Covid self-tests are no longer free for those who’ve been fully vaccinated.

The new policy has come as a bit of a shock to many. 

Those wanting to pick up the tests say they still want to make sure they’re free of the virus.

Local pharmacies are a bit confused by the new policy. The tests are also no longer free for those who have recovered from the virus. One pharmacist told the 20 minutes newspaper he doesn’t know what exactly defines ‘recovered’.

The Federal Health Office website says tests are no longer paid for by the confederation for the vaccinated or previously infected. 

Each test will cost around CHF 60.
