Covid cases up

Covid cases are climbing – and the Federal Health Office says if you’re sick with a respiratory illness, it’s most likely covid.

But exact figures are difficult since the end of free tests, says the office. 

Compared to this time last year, there are slightly more people being treated in hospital with covid, but they are mainly older and suffering from other conditions. 

But experts say there’s limited danger to the general population. Jan Fehr, an epidemiologist from the University of Zurich says most people are now protected against covid.
