Cassis offers condolences and seated next to Bidens at funeral

Ignazio Cassis seated net to Jill Biden at Westminster Abbey

The Swiss president, Iganzio Cassis, was seated next to the US leader Joe Biden at yesterday’s state funeral of Queen Elizabeth.

Earlier, he signed the book of condolence at Lancaster House where he offered his deepest sympathies to King Charles III on the passing of his mother.

Meanwhile, the British Embassy in Bern has thanked all those who visited to sign the condolence book there.

Cassis flew to New York directly from London to represent Switzerland for the opening week of the UN General Assembly.
