Bern police have arrested a man posing as a police officer.
He was part of a group of scammers persuading elderly people to withdraw cash from their accounts and then told the money was counterfeit – and bank workers would be round to confiscate it.
Police caught the scammer as he approached the home of a potential victim.
Police reissued their warning about phone calls from people saying they’re a police officer or bank worker.
