The Fribourg International Film Festival (FIFF) celebrates global cinema, with a particular focus on films from emerging countries.

It aims to foster cultural exchange and diversity, showcasing unique stories and innovative filmmaking. The festival promotes both established and new filmmakers, offering a platform for artistic expression while engaging audiences in thought-provoking discussions.

Festival Director Thierry Jobin is known for his passion for cinema and has watched every one of the 100+ movies at FIFF. He has played a key role in shaping the festival’s identity, promoting global and independent films, emphasising cultural diversity, emerging filmmakers, and innovative storytelling in cinema.

He joins Katt Cullen on the WRS Breakfast Show to talk about investigative cinema and hold a spotlight on Sri Lankan cinema at this year's FIFF.
