After nearly 30 years on air, World Radio Switzerland (WRS) - Switzerland’s only 24/7 English-language radio station - has announced that it is actively looking for new owners. The broadcaster's current owners wish to step away at the end of 2025 and without someone new at the helm, the radio station would be forced to close.
Founded in 1996, WRS serves Switzerland’s international community through DAB+ and streaming services (online, through the free app and via smart speakers).
With strong digital reach, key client and supplier partnerships, and a loyal audience, WRS offers a rare opportunity for investors or media entrepreneurs to continue a respected and valuable broadcasting legacy.
