Zurich game settled on penalties

Now to the Euro 2025 championships - it was a late night thriller in Zurich!

Sweden raced out to a 2 0 lead inside the first 25 minutes thanks to early strikes from Asllani and Blackstenius.

England looked shaky, but the tide turned after some substitutions — Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang smashed home quickfire goals around the 80 minute mark to drag it to 2 2.

Extra time couldn’t separate them, so the game headed into a nail biting shootout.

England’s keeper Hannah Hampton was the hero, saving two, while Bronze coolly slotted home the winner.

Final result: 3 2 on penalties. England march on to face Italy.
