The Swiss People’s Party has had a campaign video taken down by YouTube after the music giant Sony complained of an alleged copyright violation.
The right-wing party released the video ahead of the federal elections in October.
Called ‘That’s the SVP’, the video showed people dancing in a nightclub setting to a tune that was very similar to ‘We are Family’ by Sister Sledge.
But the party disagrees. National Councillor, Thomas Matter says he knows the original song, but the music used on the video was especially written for them.
