We’re all getting better behaved behind the wheel.
The latest figures show the number of convictions for drink driving and speeding are down – although slightly.
In 2021 there were just under 97,400 convictions for both offences, a drop of 1% on the year before.
There was a sharp drop in 2020, but that’s likely to have been the effect of the lockdown.
The figures show a decline of 5% over the last 10 years.
