This year's wet weather has taken its toll on Swiss strawberries.
The strawberry harvest has been 5% lower than in July last year, but now the hot temperatures and a clear return to summer conditions could still make up for some of this decline.
A spokeswoman for Fruit-Union Suisse explained to Keystone that producers are likely to be able to continue to harvest strawberries until the end of September, but only in protected environments and no longer in the open field.
