In response to growing security concerns in Europe, Swiss authorities are considering distributing a practical war-preparedness guide to everone.
The Intercantonal Conference on Military Affairs has drafted a five-page brochure inspired by Sweden’s model.
Called “Behaviour in Crisis and War,” it offers advice on emergency supplies, evacuation readiness, and even caring for pets.
We’re urged to prepare backpacks, not suitcases, and to keep a battery-powered radio on hand.
The guide also warns against war-time disinformation.
The brochure is still under review and will be submitted to the cantons before any national rollout.
