Volunteering makes you happier

Feeling down? Well, here’s a secret remedy: volunteering!

A new survey by Marketagent, which included Swiss participants, shows that people who give their time for others are not only helping society but boosting their own happiness.

78% of volunteers say they’re satisfied with life – that’s way above the 65% average.

They also feel their lives have more meaning.

And it doesn’t stop there. Volunteers make more friends, pick up new skills, and are more optimistic too. Many are even fitter, with over half leading active lifestyles.

So, it turns out that doing good really does you good.
