Valais school initiative

Valais is rolling out an interactive workshop for 2,600 secondary school pupils to help them spot hidden marketing on social media

Called DopaMind, the game symbolically drops teenagers inside a brain to explore how emotions, peer pressure, and influencer content shape their choices.

Promotion Santé Valais points to worrying numbers: 43% of 15-year-olds have drunk alcohol in the past month, and nearly a quarter have used a disposable e-cigarette.

Officials say a quarter of 14- to 17-year-olds have been photographed with vape products.

The scheme has been co-designed with classes from Crans-Montana and Sion, and evaluated by researchers at the University of Neuchâtel.
