Canton Valais was shaken by an earthquake yesterday morning.
It registered 3.1 on the Richter Scale, according to the Seismological Service, and was centred around St-Luc near Sierre.
The strength is unlikely to cause any serious damage – but was felt by several people. The canton has the highest risk of earthquakes.
The seismological team at ETH Zurich says it registers about 3 or 4 earthquakes a day – and only about 15 a year are above 2.5.
