Tax authorities in neighbouring France have discovered hundreds of undeclared swimming pools.
Under French law, all below ground pools are taxed and should be declared every year.
In Haute-Savoie alone, nearly a thousand pools have been found in the last two years. Authorities have been using aerial surveillance and AI to detect the hidden pools.
Initially, homeowners with pools are sent a letter inviting them to declare so they can be sent a bill.
