Booking an Uber in Zurich could prove difficult on Monday. Around a thousand drivers plan to strike, to protest their working and pay conditions.
The drivers denounce falling fares, rising costs, and growing competition, especially since rival platform Bolt entered the Zurich market with cheaper prices.
Uber responded by lowering its own fares, cutting driver income even further. Unions say the price war is being fought on the backs of drivers. Uber has yet to comment.
