All international organisations in Geneva, including UN agencies, have been given a questionnaire by the Trump administration.
It’s modelled on former Cold War themes.
The forms seem to judge if the organisation follows the ideological aims of the Trump presidency.
It asks if it has links with entities that support communism, socialism, totalitarianism, or anti-American beliefs. Or if funding comes from China, Russia, Cuba or Iran.
There’s also a section asking if the organisation measurably benefits the United States.
It would seem the answers will be used to justify funding cuts. The forms have to returned by the end of August.
