Over 4,000 plunged into the icy waters of Lake Geneva over the weekend for the 85th edition of the Christmas Cup.
Many wearing costumes braved the freezing air and the water at 8 degrees.
After the races, there was a chance to warm up with hot baths set up on the lakeside and champagne to celebrate.
Many spectators, including local politicians, watched from dry land – seemingly enjoying the pain the participants.
