Teens try to rob a gun shop - does not go well

Three teenagers thought it would be a good idea to rob a gun shop over, the weekend – but were thwarted by tight security and a police officer shooting out the tyres of their getaway vehicle.

The teens – aged between 18 and 19 – tried to break into the shop in Yverdon on Sunday morning, but couldn’t get through a reinforced door.

They were surprised by the police who’d arrived at the scene – they tried to escape in a pickup tuck – but one officer shot out a tyre. The truck then crashed into the police car.

The three were arrested, no one was injured and no guns were stolen.

Police say they believe the teens are not local and live in Lyon in France.
