Two teenagers in neighbouring France have been arrested after one shouted ‘Allah Akbar’ in a school, triggering panic.
The 16-year-old walked into a classroom at the Guillaume Fichet high school in Bonneville, wearing a hoody and yelled the phrase.
Students screamed and fled the room.
The teen later told the police he did it for a bet. His friend who made the bet with him was also arrested.
They face charges of promoting terrorism and aggravated violence. Prosecutors say there’s no sigh of radicalization and neither teen has a criminal record.
