Bomb disposal teams worked over the weekend to make safe a British World War II device that had been discovered on a construction site in Annecy last month.
The bomb weights 230 kilos and was dropped during a raid on May 10th 1944.
Nearly 4,000 local residents had to leave their homes while the operation took place. The detonator was removed and destroyed on site and the rest of the bomb was transported to a safe location.
