Five diplomats, and their families, working at the Swiss Embassy in Tehran have left the country.
But seven are staying, to make sure Switzerland fulfils its mandate to represent US interests in Iran.
The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs says that US channel to the Iranian government is busy.
In addition, some diplomatic families have left Tel Aviv – but staff are remaining.
The Foreign Affairs Office says it’s had 130 applications from Swiss nationals needing evacuation from Israel and Iran.
