SWISS confirms Middle East flight restrictions

SWISS International Airlines has extended the suspension of its Dubai flights until 24 October, citing continuing political tensions in Iran and around the Gulf.

Flights to Tel Aviv are due to resume on 1 August, while Beirut remains grounded until the autumn.

Passengers already booked can rebook free of charge or get a full refund.

The decision matters most for the many Geneva-based UN, NGO and corporate staff who travel regularly to the Middle East — they will need to route via other carriers or hubs through the summer.
