A couple accused in the death of their seven-month-old baby in Italy has been arrested in Switzerland after fleeing the country last year.
The child died in November 2024, with an autopsy later revealing severe abuse, including repeated head trauma and chest compression.
Initially thought to be a natural death, the case shifted after forensic findings pointed to violent causes.
The parents left Italy in 2025 and Interpol tracked them to Switzerland.
They are now in custody as Italy moves forward with extradition proceedings to bring them to trial.
