Storm clean-up underway

After the storm - the clean-up is underway – and some local residents are still without regular electricity supplies.

A deluge of rain triggered flooding in many Geneva communes and in areas in neighbouring France.

Firefighters are involved with pumping out cellars and homes other workers are shovelling out sludge.

One home caught fire after a lightening strike on the Route de la Capite in Vésenaz.

Residents in Croix-de-Rozon in neighbouring France feel deserted by emergency services – and are taking on the clean-up challenge alone.

Many homes on the French side are suffering power cuts and still have no water.
