Forecasters say we could see snow down to the plain before the start of December.
In a tweet, MeteoNews say it will get significantly colder by the end of the week. It says cold air will flow in from France and Germany with the snow line dropping to 500 meters at the weekend and by the early part of next week, some snow could appear on the low ground.
But the forecasters are hedging their bets - they do say that developments over the next few days will see if their prediction comes true.
