The French rail company, the SNCF, is warning of a scam – which is affecting its Swiss customers as well as the French.
The scam is in the form of an email, or a text message, supposedly from the company’s online retail arm, SNCF Connect.
The messages claim the account could be suspended or blocked unless the identity is confirmed.
Authorities say it’s an effort to gather usernames and passwords.
If you receive a message, check the email address. If it's real, it’ll be a straightforward sncfconnect address. Anything else, ignore it.
