The number of people at Swiss ski resorts was close to pre-pandemic levels, despite fewer international guests.
Numbers from Switzerland Tourism says capacity was at 85% compared to 2019.
An early start to the season as well as the snow staying across Easter is being credited for the success.
Markus Berger from the tourist office says the lack of international skiers was made up by more Swiss guests heading for their local slopes.
But it wasn’t good news right across the country. Those resorts south of the Alps suffered as they didn’t get as much snow as northern areas.
