Serial bike thief caught

Police in Vevey, canton Vaud, have arrested a serial bike thief.

Last month a 54-year-old man was stopped while riding a stolen e-bike. Searches of his home led to the seizure of around 100 bicycles and e-bikes of suspicious origin.

Investigators believe the man has been stealing bikes for about ten years across Vaud and other cantons.

Police are now calling on potential victims to come forward, particularly those who have not filed a report or failed to provide key identifying details such as serial numbers or registration.
