A motorist is facing a large bill for forgetting about a roof rack on her car.
The driver entered the Alpes car park in the Paquis district of Geneva, but it was too high with the roof rack and scraped the fire sprinkler system – which then sprayed water.
She initially agreed to pay over CHF 7,000 to fix the damage – but then took the claim to court, saying she’d been judicially harassed.
The court disagreed and now she has to pay another CHF 7,000 in costs.
